Seth Speaks: Eternal Validity of the Soul

I just finished reading Seth Speaks: Eternal Validity of the Soul by Jane Roberts.

Jane Roberts channels an entity names Seth with the help of her husband.

Channeling means to allow another energy to speak through you.  We are all channels of love, of light, of peace.  We often channel words of wisdom and insights directly from angels, guides, and God if you will.

Some people are very uncomfortable with the idea of channeling.  I encourage you to explore this book if you are looking to learn more about channeling and how spiritual guides are trying to assist us in our understanding of humanity and the function of ego.

This book is a little bit more technical than I personally like but it was plum full of lots of information, some new, some old on the nature of reality and our purpose as human beings.

I host an advanced channeling group that meets monthly.  If you have any interest in joining us be sure to contact me.

Young Victoria – Movie Review

The 2009 movie “Young Victoria” has just made my Best Movies of all Time list.

Emily Blunt was amazing as Victoria and Prince Albert stole my heart as well. I absolutely fell in love with both of them.

My husband’s not much for royalty movies but I caught him watching from around the corner and when I reminded him how much he hated “these kinds of movies” he responded with, “But she hit the King!” “I know, isn’t it good?!” I remarked.

The story line moved a bit fast if you don’t have much background on that era but I know for myself I can’t wait to check out some of the books as the movie left me wanting for more.

I give this movie a 2 thumbs up and 4 stars!! ★★★★

Happiness: Essential Mindfulness Practices

I am almost finished reading Happiness: Essential Mindfulness Practices by Thich Nhat Hahn and I highly recommend it!!

This is an amazing book that gives you practical tips to bring mindfulness into your daily life.

January is my busiest month of the year and I usually deal with a bit of anxiety from time to time.  I’m usually fine during the day but when I sit down at night to relax anxiety will hit me over the head like a lead brick.

I’ve been putting into practice his technique to calm your anxiety by moving into your breath and imagining the lump of anxiety as if it were a tiny baby (I usually think of colic because I had 2 screaming babies with colic and I can relate to that).  A tiny baby that needs to be held.  It doesn’t need to be scolded or told to go away or ignored.  Sometimes the only thing a crying baby needs is our love, our attention the energy of our presence.

It’s quite miraculous what begins to happen (not every time, but more times than not when I practice this regularly) the anxiety begins to dissolve and disappear.  Yep, no Prozac or anxiety drugs.  Just breathing and paying attention and being present with my pain.  Give it a shot.  Nothing to lose but everything to gain.  ♥
